Spa towels stay on skin longer than salon towels and meet oil, so the specification has to answer a different question.
A spa treatment runs longer than a salon service and involves oils, masks and water. The towel spends more time in contact with skin, and more time saturated, which pushes the decision toward fibre blend rather than size.
The practical risk in this segment is not tearing but residue: a web that sheds fibre under massage, or a surfactant left from processing that reacts with a treatment product. Both are visible to the client in a way a torn corner is not.
