OEM and private label
The difference between the two is only where the specification comes from. Everything after that — sampling, measurement, production — is the same.
Two starting points
OEM against an existing construction
You already know what the towel should be. We match the construction and change only what you need to change.
- Blend, weight and surface taken from an existing construction
- Change limited to cut size, fold, pack and print
- Fastest route to a quotation, because fewer variables are open
Private label developed from the use case
You are launching a line, or replacing a supplier whose towel you cannot fully describe. We start from the use and build the construction around it.
- Use case, market and price point agreed first
- Construction proposed, then sampled and measured
- Data sheet issued once the sample is approved
How a project runs
Five steps, in this order. The clock starts at step three, not at the enquiry.
- 01
Brief
Use, market, pack format, annual volume and any reference sample. We reply with the variables that need a decision, and the questions we cannot answer for you.
- 02
Sample
One round for hand-feel, one for the pack. Sample cost and lead time are quoted with the project.
- 03
Evaluation
You test against your current towel. We adjust one variable at a time so that the effect of each change stays visible.
- 04
Production trial
A short run on the production line confirms weight, width, fold and pack before the full quantity is committed.
- 05
Production and shipment
Bulk runs against the approved specification revision. Documents are issued per shipment.
What to send in the first message
Six lines are enough to start. Anything you cannot answer yet can be left out.
- What the towel is used for, and by whom
- A target basis weight, or a sample of what you use today
- Pack format, and whether artwork already exists
- Market of sale, and the labelling rules that apply there
- Annual or first-order volume
- Any specification you must match that we have not asked about
Artwork, labelling and confidentiality
Artwork, label copy and barcode data remain yours unless we agree otherwise in writing; we produce to the approved file. We will sign a confidentiality agreement before files are exchanged — send your draft, or ask for ours.
Send us the specification you are working to.
A target weight, a pack format, a market and an annual volume is enough to start. A sample of what you use today is better.
